Born into the "Johnson Musical Family", his father was a pioneer in the country-western music world and his mother, a championship fiddle player.

Darrell is noted for his wide range of musical skills, as well as the amazing ability to play a wide variety of musical instruments. He is a founding member of the Pacific Crest Pioneer Band.

Darrell teaches the immensely popular Beginner's Bluegrass class at the Old Liberty Theater in Ridgefield Washington. Darrell lives with his wife, Jill, and his son, Jesse, in Ridgefield Washington.

Tim Dawdy started his musical career with the band Hot Buttered Rum. He later joined the Karl & Milo Band. During the Karl & Milo years, Tim received his basic bluegrass training from Karl Van Andle, Milo Macintosh, and Professor Roy Thorp. The popular northwest group disbanded in 2002, after the untimely death of the beloved Milo Macintosh.

Tim joined the Pacific Crest Pioneer Band in 2003 and plays autoharp and dobro. Tim also sings, and is the front-man for the group. He is one of the few autoharpists that can play bluegrass melody and improvise breaks. Tim is more often noted for his irreverent love of music and humor. He is on the bluegrass police "Ten Most Wanted List" for mixing musical styles and laughing about it!

Tim works as a Division Chief in the local County Fire District. He has four sons and lives with his wife, Wendy, in Ridgefield, Washington.
